Road Safety is of Paramount Importance for all of us. Almost over one lakh person lose their lives every year in our country in road accident (as per transport Research Wing of ministry of Road Transport and Highways, New Delhi) causing loss of human lives and property and trauma to the loss of the deceased. It is the need of the hour that society at large to take cognizance of the issue and to join hands to make road safety a social movement.
According to the CBSE guidelines, Jaipuriar School organized many activities for the students. A small video on Road Safety was shown to the students of Primary section in virtual classes. Students enthusiastically prepared posters, PPTs, created some Traffic symbols to be followed by the pedestrians.
An interactive session was organised with Mr Purushottam Karad Deputy Commissioner Police (Traffic) Navi Mumbai for the students in order to reinforce the message of road safety. He highlighted the various aspects of Road Safety and urged all the students to follow and ensured that everyone at their home follows the traffic rules importance of it. He also motivated the students to follow the traffic rules so that the Life Expectancy also increases. The students came up with their queries and promised to follow the rules.
The Principal of the school, Dr Rashmirekha Saha acknowledged Mr Purushottam Karad for sparing his precious time out of his busy schedule to enlighten the students with such an informative session.
